Elizabeth Magill Peer recognized as Sustainable Hero for May by Sustainable Jersey
Lambertville is home to many dedicated, talented volunteers and one of our own was recently recognized by Sustainable Jersey! Lambertville Environmental Commission (LEC) Chair Elizabeth (Liz) Magill Peer was recognized as the Sustainability Hero for May. Liz was the creative force behind Lambertville's Ditching Disposables initiative and more recently helped organize the very successful Lambertville Creeks Clean up in honor of Earth Month. She has been asked by other Environmental Commissions and groups to share Lambertville's best practices and lessons learned regarding the many popular environmental programs provided by the LEC, and Liz has been generous with her time to share these pearls. Liz has spent countless volunteer hours writing grant proposals, networking with local businesses to solicit feedback, and making Lambertville greener in her joyful, inclusive, enthusiastic way. Congratulations to Liz on this well deserved recognition!
