UPDATE: City Operations, Garbage/Recycling, SUEZ, JCP&L, Housing

CITY OPERATIONS:

  • Clerk’s Office will be taking calls for damage reports and other community needs from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon on Saturday and Sunday
  • Construction Office:   Inspectors will be out conducting inspections on Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Sunday, September 5, 2021 9:00 am until 4:00 pm.
  • Public Works will be working on Saturday from 7:00 am to 12:00 noon to do emergent street work. They will be using the street sweeper throughout our community to mitigate dust from the storm.
  • Convenience Center will not be open this weekend, Saturday, September 4.

GARBAGE AND RECYCLING has been cancelled and will resume the regular schedule on Monday, September 13, 2021.

SUEZ UPDATE: Suez reported that they are up and functional; however, THE CITY IS ON A BOIL WATER ORDER. We anticipate that this will be lifted on Sunday, September 5, 2021.  

EMERGENCY HYDRANT FLUSHING: Suez will be flushing hydrants as part of the restoration process on Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 6:00 - 9:00 am. Hydrants will be opened and the water will spill out into the road/street. It is recommended that you do not do the laundry or wash dishes during this time. It may cause discoloration in clothing. Flushing locations include:

JCP&L continues to work on the power lines and hope to have full restoration by 10 pm this evening.  If you are without power, we ask that you contact JCP&L and the City.
