What Do I Need To Know This Week?

The City of Lambertville remains in a State of Emergency. Please see below for updates.

DEBRIS REMOVAL: The City of Lambertville’s debris removal efforts are ongoing. We will only remove debris that has accumulated on sidewalks and in other public areas.

Debris removal on Monday, 9/13 will take place in the following areas*:

  • Quarry Street
  • 518
  • Swan Street east of Rt 165/Rt 29
  • Cottage Hill
  • North Franklin Street
  • York Street North of Franklin Street
  • Delevan Street
  • Cherry Street debris site

*subject to change based on the debris removal company’s schedule and progress

DUMPSTERS:
The City has deployed dumpsters throughout town. Dumpsters are being removed, emptied, and replaced on an ongoing basis. The City is working with the County to manage this process. Dumpsters will continue to be deployed based on need with a focus on those parts of town most severely impacted by the storm.

HAZARDOUS HOUSEHOLD MATERIALS & WHITE GOODS:  Hazardous Materials (paint cans, cleaning products, etc.) & White Goods (appliances) must be separated from the rest of the debris. Household hazardous waste can be placed in the parking lot of the Phillip L. Pittore Justice Center located at 25 South Union Street. Please place them in the area marked and designated for hazardous waste. Appliances must be taped shut or have their doors removed.

STREET SWEEPER: The regular street sweeper schedule has been suspended for the week of 9/13. Street sweeping will occur following debris removal on an ongoing basis. Please pay attention to the no parking signs posted by the police department and do your best to move cars out of the way.

DISABLED VEHICLES: If your car is disabled, please contact the Lambertville Police Department at 609.397.3132 and they will assist you.

GARBAGE AND RECYCLING: The normal household garbage schedule will resume on Monday, 9/13. If your garbage or recycling can is placed at the curb, be aware that it may mistakenly be removed by the company handling debris removal. We are doing everything we can to prevent the destruction of personal garbage and recycling cans.

MEETING REGARDING FLOOD RECOVERY/REBUILDING: The Lambertville Construction Office is hosting an informational session on Monday, 9/13 at 6:00 pm. For details on how to join this remote meeting, please visit the City’s website at https://lambertvillenj.org/resident/calendar/3103
