Veolia - South Franklin Street Water Main Project begins 4/13
Water Main Replacement on South Franklin Street - A letter from Veolia
Project to Begin on April 13th
Dear Resident,
We would like to inform you of an upcoming water main replacement project on a portion of
South Franklin Street, from Swan Street to the Mount Hope Cemetery access way that
connects to Boozer Street. This project is part of Veolia’s ongoing efforts to improve the
reliability, quality, and overall performance of the water delivery system.
Construction is expected to begin on April 13th and will continue for roughly four weeks,
weather permitting. Work will typically occur between the hours of 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday
through Friday with no work being done on the weekends or special town events.
During this time, you may experience temporary inconveniences such as increased noise, traffic
delays, and limited access to certain roadways or driveways. Police and traffic control will be on
site to allow residents who live in the immediate area the ability to move throughout the area
as needed. Emergency vehicles will be able to respond, as access will not be obstructed.
No parking will be allowed on South Franklin Street from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday
through Friday.
If any planned water service interruptions are required, advance notice will be provided.
We understand these types of projects can be disruptive, and we are committed to minimizing
impacts to residents and restoring all affected areas as quickly as possible. Our crews will
maintain safe access for pedestrians and emergency vehicles at all times.
Veolia apologizes for any inconvenience as the company works to ensure water quality and
service reliability efficiencies. Please contact Veolia at 877-565-1456 with questions or
concerns regarding the project.
